1GB de memória e pc só reconhece 512

Olá, pessoal!

Dei uma fuçada nesse fórum mas não achei nenhuma resposta pro minha dúvida.

Seguinte: tenho uma placa mãe ASROCK K7VM2 que sempre usei com 256 (333) de RAM. Só que não tava conseguindo rodar uns programas então dei um pulo na Santa Ifigênia e comprei um pende de 1 GB (400), já que no manual da placa diz que ela aceita até 2 GB, então beleza, certo?:lol:

Cheguei em casa espetei a danada e a BIOS contou só 512. Pelo Windows mostra 480 (512 - 32 de vídeo compartilhado).

Fucei na Bios (tá atualizada com a última versão) e não achei nenhuma configuração limitando isso...

Será que o cara me vendeu gato por lebre? Será que minha placa é uma **** ? Será uma cilada, Bino?

Ou será que algum camarada do CH sabe como eu posso resolver isso!

Me dá uma ajuda aí pessoal :)

rode ele e verifique na aba, acho que SPD, e veja qual frequência aparece lá. Poste o resultado.

PERDÃO PELA MAX-DEMORA PESSOAL... precisei fazer uma viagem meio urgente e só estou voltando agora.

Então.. espetei ela no micro do vizinho que tem placa com slot para PC 400 e o micro NEM LIGOU. :confused:

Testei nos 3 slots do sujeito!

Sorte que ao conectar a memória original do micro dele funcionou.... :cool:

Vou fazer isso hoje a noite e passo pra ti.

Meu vizinho instalou um tal de Everest que ele disse que verifica qual é a da fonte. Não é que ela aparece com 1 GB?

O Everest também mostrou que ela é registrada (seja lá o que for isso) e meu vizinho acha que isso pode ter algo a ver.

Ajuda em algo?

Prometo que amanhã cedo posto o código da memória completo e o resultado do CPU-Z.

É incompatibilidade. Para tentar resolver, você teria que atualizar a bios...é uma tentativa para tentar fazê-la funcionar em seu pc.

um cliente meu tinah essa placa-mãe, mesmo fazendo upgrade da bios, ela nao reconheceu. ela so consegue trabalhar mesmo é com 512mbs separados, e de mesma paridade, se você tiver um de 333mhz e outro de 400 vai ter resete aleátorios.

vi isso tb numa placa copia para intel da asrock q aceitava dim e ddr.

recomendo q troque por 2 de 512mbs separados.

A BIOS tá atualizadinha.. versão 1.90... é a última que tem no site da asrock:

o resultado do CPU-Z diz que a placa tem mesmo 1GB! :wacko:

Isso é uma maluquice total. Se ajudar em algo, tô postando abaixo o resultado.

Não tenho grana pra trocar minha 1 GB por 2x512MB. :unsure:
