Notebook sti is-1451 - wifi não funciona no linux

Olá. Instalei semana passada o Debian 8.5 estavel em um notebook STi IS-1451 Celeron M da família e já fiz todos os precedimentos básicos necessários (acredito eu) após a instalação. Estou gostando muito, mesmo com a dificuldade que não tinha no Ubuntu (de onde eu vim).

Mas aproveitando a oportunidade, vou dizer o meu problema.

Estou desde semana passada tentando solucionar o problema do Wifi, mas sem sucesso. Este modelo de notebook STi IS-1451 vem com botões acima do teclado. Estou tranquilo porque ele reconheceu o botão através também do KeyTouch Editor e também bloqueou e desbloqueou, conforme mostrado no $ rfkill list

 

Interessante que os botões do Wifi e Fn+F2 também funcionou, bloqueando e desbloqueando o Hard blocked.

 

$ rfkill list
0: phy0: Wireless LAN
    Soft blocked: no
    Hard blocked: no

 

Mas, mesmo assim não funciona o Wifi.
