GSA-H10A não grava DVD - R

Tenho um gravador de DVD GSA-H10A LG. Estou com dificulades de gravar utilizando mídias da própria LG (LG DVD-R - 4.7GB). Não tive problemas anteriores ao efetuar gravações em outras mídias (1º vez que uso a referida midia) gravo sem problemas cd´s e outros DVD´s (ex. philips DVD+R), pelo que vi o GSA-H10A suporta e grava em midias "-R". Gostaria de saber os possiveis motivos de rejeição desse tipo de mídia.

Baixei a atualização de firmeware (GSA-H10A_JL05(EW)) do site da LG, mas antes de agir gostaria de mais informações sobre essas atualizações, que tipo de melhoria elas trazem?

Testa outra marca de mídia e grave na metade da velocidade máxima que ela aceita... 8x grave em 4x...

instala a atualização do firmware.. antes eu tinha isso, dps q atualizei, nunca mais tive problemas...
