Análise da CDRInfo com o gravador ASUS DRW-2014L1T

O chipset utilizado nesse novo Asus é o Mediatek MT1899LE, o mesmo utilizado no gravador ASUS DRW-1814BLT 18x:

O gravador foi analisado com um firmware de versão 1.00.

Estranhamente este gravador não está suportando a configuração de booktype bitsetting em modo DVD-ROM nas midias DVD+R, DVD+R DL e DVD+RW...:

The drive does not support booktype feature with DVD+R, DVD+R DL and DVD+RW media.

Espera-se que isso seja corrigido nas novas revisões de firmwares...(mesmo porque como foi dito anteriormente, o ASUS 1814 que utiliza o mesmo chipset Mediatek tem suporte total em Booktype Bitsetting...)

As conclusões finais da CDRInfo com o gravador também não foram das melhores e espera-se realmente que tudo seja em decorrência de um firmware que precisa amadurecer...:

Conclusion

The ASUS DRW-2014L1T drive left us with a few doubts after completing the tests in our labs. The points that need to be mentioned are the following:

- The reading sessions were very smooth while at the same time the average reading speeds were slightly lower than other drives of the same category.

- The overburning feature is supported by the drive, but the booktype feature is not.

- Only a few scans with DVD media reported a clean bill of health. Failure in some cases is justified due to the drive's high writing speed.

- We did not manage to write any DVD recordable disc at a speed higher than 16x.

- The drive did not recognize the Maxell 12x DVD-RAM media we used in our tests.

- All burning quality tests with CD media passed with flying colors. No uncorrectable errors at all and overall, excellent behaviour with CD media.

-Both CD and DVD Error Correction tests produced very encouraging results. The error correction capabilities of the drive are slightly better than average.

- The drive supports the Lightscribe feature.

- The drive's price ranges from $58.19 to $101.50 at 19 e-stores.
