Enviei o email (tem ali o histórico abaixo) para HITACHI USA. Tenho exatamente o mesmo HD e o mesmo problema. Segundo eles é necessario plugar o cabo USB que tem as duas entradas (dois plugs) na ponta que liga no USB do micro ao mesmo tempo. Então você tem que plugar o cabo USB no HD e as duas entradas da outra ponta do cabo USB , deverá plugar ao mesmo tempo no micro ou note. Outro detalhe é que se você estiver usando o note apenas na bateria pode ser que ocorra este problemas também, por isso é necessário plugar o HD apenas quando estiver usando o adaptador AC junto em caso de notebooks.

The USB cord has two plugs on one end both of them need to be attached at the same time. If you are using it on a laptop make sure the laptop is not running on battery. this drive is getting power from the USB.

Hello,
I'm from Brazil. I bought an External drive HITACHI X250. Everytime when I try to use it does not work on Windows 7. Just keeping beep sounds. I don't understand because sometimes works and sometimes no freaking way to recognize. I'm bit scared cause I thought that I got a nice acquisition and everytime I try to use my External drive does not help me. Please I beg you help to try to fix it. I've seen on several forums a lot of people having same problem with HITACHI X250 model.
What I have do to get support ?
Could send some tips or someting like to fix this problem ?
