“If you are using Gskill Ram, we have been seeing allot of seemingly unrelated issues being corrected by using manual settings.
Before tearing your system down and pulling your hair out, try setting the memory to 9-9-9-24 timings 1T command Rate and a speed of 1600 and see if the issues goes away.
Some of the reported issues have been as odd and varied as SSDs not showing up to BSOD's and freeze ups.
To manually set your ram timings and speed you will need to make the following changes in BIOS:
1.) Boot to UEFI BIOS
2.) Navigate to the OC Section
Make the following changes:
Dram Frequency: DDR3-1600
Dram Timing Mode: Change from "auto" to "link"
3.) Click on "Advanced Dram Configuration" and make the following settings:
Command Rate: 2T If successful, retest with 1T
tCL: 9
tRCD: 9
tRP: 9
tRas: 24
Save, exit and re-test.
Make sure of course that the RAM is installed into the primary DIMMS of the mainboard: DIMMS 2 & 4 for most products (2nd from the CPU and last)
Please post below if this resolves your issue.
Please include the part number of the Gskill Ram, Symptoms caused and full system spec.
This is not a thread for debate, just for info and data to report to MSI.
