  1. Peço Licença e atenção aos meus amigos do premiere para este erro: "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down" Possíveis causas: 1) Remover o mainconcept pro 1.06 (ou menor versão) plugin e tudo pode funcionar sem erro, pois pode estar dando conflito na renderização(Teclando enter) e não na exportação, pois o codec mainconcept funciona no adobe encoder; 2) Veja se o seu processador é compativel ou é um pouco fraco, segundo roteiro abaixo; 3) Pouca Memória; 4) Se não acontecer nada, leia abaixo as possíveis causas: "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Premiere to be shut down. We will attempt to save your current project." Many different factors can cause system errors, including conflicts among device drivers, applications, operating system settings, hardware, and corrupt elements in specific files. Although a system error may occur only when you work with Premiere Pro, Premiere Pro may not necessarily be the cause--it may be the only application that is memory- or processor-intensive enough to expose the problem. To get the most from this document, perform the tasks in order. Keep track of the tasks you perform and the results of each, including errors or other problems. Adobe Technical Support can use this information to better assist you, should you need to call. Note: The procedures in this document are based on the default interface of Windows XP. If the interface is customized, some procedures may vary. For example, a commonly encountered difference is the navigation to Control Panel from the Start menu: You may navigate Start > Settings > Control Panel instead of Start > Control Panel. Beginning troubleshooting The tasks in this section can help you resolve the most common system errors. Before performing any of these tasks, back up all personal files (for example, Premiere Pro project files you created). Always restart the computer after a system error occurs to refresh its memory. Continuing to work without restarting the computer may compound the problem. Note: Some of these tasks require you to locate hidden files, and files by their full filenames, which include extensions (for example, filename.ini). By default, Windows Explorer hides hidden files, and filename extensions it recognizes. To show hidden files, hidden folders, and all file name extensions in Windows Explorer: 1. In Windows Explorer, choose Tools > Folder Options. 2. Click the View tab in the Folder Options dialog box. 3. In Advanced Settings, select Show Hidden Files And Folders. 4. Deselect Hide Extensions For Known File Types 5. Click OK. 1. Make sure that the system meets the minimum requirements for Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro may not run correctly if the system doesn't meet the following requirements: Note: If you use a third-party capture card, you may have additional system requirements. Contact the manufacturer of your capture-card for those requirements. Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 (stand-alone): -- Intel Pentium III 800MHz processor (Pentium 4 3.06GHz recommended) -- Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition with Service Pack 1 -- 256 MB of RAM installed (1 GB or more recommended) -- 800 MB of available hard-disk space for installation -- Microsoft DirectX-compatible sound card (multichannel ASIO-compatible sound card for surround sound support recommended) -- CD-ROM drive, CD recorder (CD-R/-RW) required for CD creation -- DVD recorder (DVD-R/RW+R/RW) required for Export to DVD -- 1024 x 768 32-bit color video display adapter (OpenGL card recommended) -- For DV: OHCI-compatible IEEE 1394 interface and dedicated large-capacity 7200 RPM UDMA 66 IDE or SCSI hard disk or disk array -- For third-party capture cards: Adobe Premiere Pro certified capture card -- Internet or phone connection required for product activation Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0 (stand-alone): -- Intel Pentium III 800MHz processor (Pentium 4 3.06GHz recommended) -- Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition with Service Pack 1 -- 256 MB of RAM installed (1 GB or more recommended) -- 800 MB of available hard-disk space for installation -- CD-ROM drive -- Compatible DVD recorder (DVD-R/RW+R/RW) required for Export to DVD -- 1024 x 768 32-bit color video display adapter (1280 x 1024 or dual monitors recommended) -- For DV: OHCI-compatible IEEE 1394 interface and dedicated large-capacity 7200 RPM UDMA 66 IDE or SCSI hard disk or disk array -- For third-party capture cards: Adobe Premiere Pro certified capture card -- ASIO audio hardware device; surround speaker system for 5.1 audio playback -- DirectX-compatible sound card To check how much RAM is installed, choose Start > Control Panel, and then double-click System. The amount of RAM appears on the lower half of the General panel in the System Properties window. Note: Both Premiere Pro 1.0 and 1.5 require that your CPU supports SSE. If your CPU does not support SSE, or SSE is not enabled, an error will occur on startup. For detailed information about the SSE requirement and how to enable SSE, see the Adobe Support Knowledgebase document 330616 , " ". Error "...application failed to initialize...(0xc000001d)..." occurs during startup (Premiere Pro 1.5) 2. Install the latest version of Premiere Pro. The latest version of Premiere Pro may be more compatible with the operating system and hardware drivers. Before you install an update or upgrade, make sure that your system meets the requirements. 3. Install current Windows service packs and other updates. Updates to the Windows operating system improve its performance and compatibility with applications. You can obtain Windows service packs and other updates from the Microsoft website at www.windowsupdate.com . For assistance installing service packs and other updates, contact Microsoft technical support. If you've reinstalled an application or the Windows operating system after installing the latest Windows update, reinstall the update. Some applications install commonly used system files, overwriting the updated versions installed by the Windows update. 4. Scan the system for viruses. Use current anti-virus software (for example, Symantec Norton AntiVirus, McAfee VirusScan) to check the system for viruses. Virus infections can damage software and cause system errors. For more information, see the documentation for the anti-virus software. 5. Re-create the Premiere Pro PluginCache file. Some problems may be caused by a damaged PluginCache file. To re-create the file, hold down the Shift key while choosing Start > Programs > Adobe Premiere Pro. Release the key when the Select Initial Workspace window appears. Note: In previous versions of Adobe Premiere, similar problems are eliminated by re-creating the Preferences file. Adobe Premiere Pro, however, stores the application preferences in the PluginCache file. It stores only the user preferences in the Preferences file. 6. Run Premiere Pro while no other applications run in the background. Some applications may cause system errors or freezes when running concurrently with Premiere Pro. You can identify these applications and disable them before starting Premiere Pro. To identify problematic applications that run in the background, remove applications from the Startup folder, and close those that are specified in the registry to start automatically. To disable startup items: 1. Exit from all applications. 2. Choose Start > Run, and type msconfig in the Open text box. Click OK. 3. Click the Startup tab, and select Disable All. 4. Select any startup items that are essential for testing the problem. If you are unsure whether an item is essential, leave it deselected (disabled). 5. Click OK, and restart Windows. 6. Right-click to close or disable any items in the Notification Area (called the System Tray in earlier versions of Windows). Then, try to re-create the problem: -- If the problem doesn't occur, one of the startup items conflicts with Premiere. Re-enable startup items one at a time, testing each time until you determine which item conflicts with Premiere. Then contact that item's developer for an update, if available. -- If the problem recurs, startup items aren't the cause and you can re-enable them: a. Choose Start > Run, and type msconfig in the Open text box. Click OK. b. Click the Startup tab, and select Enable All. c. Click OK, and restart Windows. 7. Run Premiere Pro in a new user account. Create a new user account that has the same permissions as the account you use when the problem occurs. If the problem doesn't recur, the original user account may be damaged. For information on setting up a user account, see "To add a new user to the computer" in Windows Help or contact your network administrator. 8. Troubleshoot third-party plug-ins. Remove third-party plug-ins from the Premiere Pro plug-ins folder, and then restart Premiere Pro. If the problem recurs, move the plug-ins back to the Premiere Pro plug-ins folder, and proceed to the next section of this document, "Intermediate troubleshooting." If the problem doesn't recur, identify and address conflicting plug-ins. To identify and address conflicting plug-ins: 1. Move one third-party plug-in back to the Premiere Pro plug-ins folder. 2. Restart Premiere Pro and try to re-create the problem: -- If the problem doesn't occur, repeat steps 1-2. -- If the problem recurs, contact the developer of the plug-in you last moved to inquire about an update. 9. Disconnect IEEE 1394 devices. Disconnect or turn off any IEEE 1394 devices, such as your DV camcorder, prior to starting Premiere Pro. Certain DV devices may interfere with the ability of Premiere Pro to initialize. You can reconnect or turn on these devices after Premiere Pro starts successfully. Intermediate troubleshooting If the tasks in the previous section don't solve the problem, try the following intermediate troubleshooting tasks. 10. Reinstall Premiere Pro in Safe mode. Device drivers and software that load automatically with Windows (for example, screen savers, virus protection utilities) can conflict with the Adobe Premiere Pro installer and cause problems which prevent Adobe Premiere Pro from installing or starting. To prevent conflicts, reinstall Adobe Premiere Pro while Windows is in Safe mode. In Safe Mode, non-standard device drivers and startup software are disabled. To reinstall Adobe Premiere Pro in Safe mode: 1. Exit from Premiere Pro. 2. Move any personal files out of the Premiere Pro folder and its subfolders. 3. Choose Start > Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs. 4. Select Premiere Pro, and click Remove. Follow the on-screen instructions to remove Premiere Pro. 5. After removing Premiere Pro, delete the Premiere Pro folder if it still remains. 6. Restart Windows. When you receive the message "Starting Windows XP," press the F8 key, and then select Safe Mode from the list of startup options. 7. Click OK in the Desktop dialog box indicating that Windows is running in Safe Mode. If "Safe Mode" doesn't appear in each corner of the Desktop, repeat step 6. 8. Insert the Premiere CD, and install Premiere. If the Autoplay screen doesn't appear, double-click My Computer, double-click the Premiere Pro CD icon, and then double-click the Setup.exe file. 9. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Premiere Pro 10. Restart Windows in Normal mode before starting Adobe Premiere Pro. (Adobe Premiere Pro can't run in Safe mode.) 11. Update the video card driver. Many video card manufacturers frequently update their software drivers. If you haven't updated the display adapter driver recently, contact the video card manufacturer for an updated driver, or download one from the manufacturer's website. (To determine the manufacturer of the video card, view the card's properties in Device Manager.) You can often determine if the video driver is outdated by changing the color-depth and resolution of the video card or by disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Be sure to follow manufacturers instructions when uninstalling old video card drivers and installing new drivers. Old drivers that are not completely uninstalled can cause problems. To change the color-depth and resolution: 1. Choose Start > Control Panel, and then double-click Display. 2. Click the Settings tab. 3. Change the color depth using the Color quality menu: -- If the current color depth is 16-bit or 32-bit, choose True Color (which may be designated as 24-bit color; 16,777,216 colors; or millions of colors). -- If the current color depth is True Color, choose 16-bit or 32-bit color. 4. Change the resolution using the Screen resolution menu: -- If the current resolution is 1024 x 768, move the slider to a different resolution, such as 800 x 600 or 1280 x 1024. -- If the current resolution is not 1024 x 768, move the slider to 1024 x 768. 5. Click Apply, and then click OK. 6. Restart Windows and Premiere Pro. If changing the color-depth and resolution of the video card fixes the problem, contact the video card manufacturer for an updated driver. To disable graphics hardware acceleration: 1. Choose Start > Control Panel. 2. Double-click Display, click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced. 3. Click the Troubleshooting tab. 4. Move the Hardware acceleration slider to None. 5. Click OK to accept the new setting, and then click OK to close the Display Properties window. 6. Restart Premiere Pro. If the problem no longer occurs, contact the video card manufacturer for an updated driver. 12. Troubleshoot QuickTime. An outdated version of Apple QuickTime or a damaged QuickTime file may prevent Adobe Premiere Pro from starting. To update QuickTime, install the version on the Apple website at www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ . To replace damaged QuickTime files, remove QuickTime and delete any QuickTime files or folders remaining on the system, and then reinstall QuickTime. For instructions, see document 310605 , "Removing and Reinstalling QuickTime to Run Premiere for Windows." 13. Check for font problems. To determine whether a font causes the problem, reduce the number of active TrueType fonts by moving the font files to another location: Note: Don't remove the TrueType fonts installed by Windows. For a list of these fonts, see document 326402 , "TrueType Fonts Installed by Windows XP" 1. Create a new folder (for example, C:\TrueType). 2. Open the Windows\Fonts folder. 3. Move TrueType font files, excluding those installed by Windows (see Note), from the Windows\Fonts folder to the folder you created in step 1. 4. Restart Windows. 5. Move some of the fonts from step 3 back to the Windows\Fonts folder. 6. Restart Windows. 7. Start Premiere Pro, and try to re-create the problem: 8. If the problem recurs, one of the fonts you moved in step 5 may be the cause. Remove those fonts from the Windows\Fonts folder, and repeat steps 4-6, this time adding only one font at a time. When the problem recurs, do one or more of the following: -- If you use a third-party font utility, such as FontMaster, remove the fonts using that utility. For instructions, refer to the documentation for the utility. -- Remove the font and reinstall it from the original media. -- Contact the font manufacturer to obtain an updated version of the font. 9. If the problem doesn't occur, repeat steps 5-7 and test different fonts. 14. Check for codec problems. Many startup problems and application freezes may be caused by poorly written or otherwise incompatible codecs. Troubleshoot codecs by removing any recently installed video and audio codecs. You can test additional codecs for by temporarily disabling them. compatibility Note: Removing a codec may cause some video or audio files to become unreadable, or may cause some applications to stop working. Use caution when removing codecs. If you are not certain which codecs should remain on your system, contact Adobe Support for additional help. To remove a Video For Windows codec: 1. Choose Start > Control Panel. 2. Double-click Sound And Audio Devices. 3. Click the Hardware tab. 4. Double-click Video Codecs. 5. Click the Properties tab. 6. Select the Codec you want to remove and click the remove button. 7. Click OK and then click OK again to close the Sounds And Audio Devices window. To temporarily disable a Video For Windows codec: 1. Choose Start > Run. 2. Type regedit in the Open text box, and then click OK to start the Windows Registry Editor. 3. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32. 4. Double-click the Codec that you wish to disable to open the Edit String dialog box (Video Codecs usually begin with the listing "vidc.". Audio Codecs usually end with the .acm extension.) 5. Add a semi-colon ( ; ) to the beginning of the Value data field to disable the entry. 6. Click OK to close the Edit String window. 7. Repeat steps 4 through 6 until you have disabled all incompatible Codecs, or other Codecs you wish to test for compatibility. 8. Close the registry editor. Note: To re-enable codecs, follow steps 1 through 4. Remove the semi-colon that you added in step 5, and complete steps 6-8. 15. Identify the file that causes the problem. If an error indicates which file causes the problem, reinstall the application to which that file belongs. If that file is damaged and causes problems in Premiere Pro, reinstalling the associated application can correct the problem. If an error indicates a Windows file, contact Microsoft for help replacing that file. 16. Verify that other device drivers are compatible with Windows XP. If updating the video card driver doesn't resolve the problem, verify that all other device drivers are compatible with Windows XP. Device drivers are software files that allow Windows to communicate with devices such as scanners, mouse devices, and keyboards. Contact the device manufacturer to make sure that you are using the latest driver for it. To check for device driver problems: 1. Choose Start > Control Panel, and then double-click System. 2. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 3. Click the plus sign (+) to the left of each device type. 4. If a device appears with a black exclamation mark (!) in a yellow circle, right-click that device, and choose Properties from the pop-up menu. 5. Note the properties for the device: -- Check the Device Status field: If the device isn't working properly, information in this field can help you troubleshoot the problem. -- If the Properties dialog box has a Driver tab, click it. If the Driver tab doesn't indicate the driver provider, click Driver Details. If Microsoft is the provider, a generic driver is probably installed; contact the device manufacturer to obtain the most recent driver they provide. 17. Set the virtual memory paging file to the default size. Virtual memory allows the system to use hard disk space to store information normally stored in memory (RAM). Windows XP manages virtual memory using a paging file; you define the minimum and maximum size of this file. If the size is different from the default in Windows XP, applications may return errors. Some applications, however, may require a nondefault size for the paging file, so change the size only if other applications aren't adversely affected. To set the paging file to the default size: Note: You must be logged on as an Administrator to change the size of the paging file. 1. Exit from open applications. 2. Choose Start > Control Panel, and then double click System. 3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings in the Performance section. 4. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Change in the Virtual Memory section. 5. From the Drive list, select a hard drive that has free space equal to at least 1.5 times the amount of the computer's installed RAM. To determine the amount of space available on a drive, click the drive letter; the amount of space available appears in the Paging File Size for Selected Drive section. 6. In the Initial Size text box, enter a value equal to one and a half times the amount of the computer's installed RAM. 7. In the Maximum Size text box, enter the same value you entered for Initial Size. 8. Click Set, and then click OK to close the Virtual Memory dialog box. 9. Click OK when Windows returns the alert "The changes you have made require you to restart your computer . . ." 10. Click OK to close the Performance Options dialog box, and then click OK to close the System Properties dialog box. 11. Click Yes in the System Settings Change dialog box. Windows restarts. 18. Optimize handling of temporary files by Windows XP. Windows XP and software applications store working data in temporary (*.tmp) files that they create on the hard disk. Excessive or outdated temporary files can interfere with the performance of Windows XP or applications. Delete temporary files, and make sure that at least 280 MB of free space is available on the hard disk to which they are written. To delete temporary files: 1. Exit from open applications. 2. Choose Start > Search, and then click All Files or Folders. 3. Type *.tmp in the All or Part of the File Name text box. 4. Choose Local Hard Drives from the Look In pop-up menu, and then click Search. 5. After the search results appear, select and delete any temp files you wish to remove. 6. Empty the Recycle Bin. To make sure that at least 280 MB of free space is available on the hard disk to which temporary files are written: 1. Exit from open applications. 2. Choose Start > Control Panel, and then double-click System. 3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Environment Variables. 4. In the User variables for [user profile] section, locate TEMP in the Variable column, and note the folder listed in the Value column. If the complete pathname for the folder isn't visible, double-click TEMP in the Variable column, and note the folder name in the Variable Value text box. The typical location for the Windows XP Temp directory is: C:\Documents and Settings\ [user profile] \Local Settings\Temp. Note: If a TEMP variable doesn't exist, contact your system administrator for assistance. 5. In Windows Explorer, verify that the folder you noted in step 4 exists on a noncompressed drive that has at least 280 MB of free space: -- If the folder doesn't exist, create it: Right-click the drive, choose New Folder from the pop-up menu, and type the folder name you noted in step 4 (for example, Temp). -- If the drive doesn't have enough free space, create additional space by removing unnecessary files. To determine the amount of free space, right-click the drive and choose Properties from the pop-up menu. Note: Windows requires at least 115 MB of free space on the hard-disk on which it is installed in order to work properly (even if Premiere Pro is installed on a different drive). 19. Repair and defragment hard disks. System errors can occur if hard disks contain damaged sectors or fragmented files. Repair and defragment hard disks using either the Error-checking tool and Disk Defragmenter utility included with Windows or a third-party disk utility (for example, Symantec Norton Utilities). You should run such utilities on each hard disk or partition. More information about the Error-checking tool and Disk Defragmenter appears below; for more information about a third-party disk utility, refer to the documentation for the utility. The Error-checking tool repairs bad sectors, lost allocation units and file fragments, cross-linked files, and invalid file names. To access the Error-checking tool, choose Start > My Computer, right-click the desired hard disk, and choose Properties from the pop-up menu; in the Local Disk Properties dialog box, click the Tools tab, and then click Check Now in the Error-checking section. Note: To prevent Disk Defragmenter from moving files to bad sectors of a disk, run the Error-checking tool before running Disk Defragmenter. Disk Defragmenter rearranges the files and free space on your computer so files are stored in contiguous units and free space is consolidated in one contiguous block. To access the Disk Defragmenter utility, choose Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter. Advanced troubleshooting If the tasks in the previous section don't resolve the problem, hardware may be conflicting with Premiere Pro. The following procedures will help you isolate a hardware conflict. Disclaimer: Adobe doesn't support hardware and provides these tasks as a courtesy only. For further assistance, contact the hardware manufacturer or an authorized reseller. If you troubleshoot hardware problems yourself, you may void the warranty for your computer. Note: Before you remove or rearrange hardware, turn off the power to the computer and any peripheral devices. 20. Reinstall your capture card software. If you are using proprietary third-party capture card hardware and software (such as non-OHCI FireWire hardware), Adobe Premiere Pro may not run properly if the software for your capture card is damaged or installed incorrectly (for example, if the capture card software was installed before Adobe Premiere Pro). To resolve these problems, remove and reinstall the capture card software according to the instructions included with the card. For help removing the capture card software, contact the card's manufacturer. If more than one version of Adobe Premiere is installed, remove all versions, and then reinstall just the version you want to use. Then reinstall your capture card software. To remove Adobe Premiere Pro: 1. Choose Start > Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs. 2. Select Adobe Premiere Pro, and click Change/Remove. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to remove all the installed components. 2. Open Windows Explorer, and delete all Adobe Premiere folders in the Program Files\Adobe folder. 3. Empty the Recycle Bin, and then restart the computer. 21. Check for SCSI problems. If you have a SCSI card for internal or external SCSI devices, verify that the settings for the card are correct, ensure that the SCSI chain is properly terminated, update SCSI drivers, and check for hardware or cable damage. For instructions, contact the SCSI card manufacturer. You can also check for SCSI problems by using the System Properties dialog box: 1. Choose Start > Control Panel, and then double-click System. 2. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 3. Click the plus sign (+) to the left of the SCSI and RAID Controllers line. 4. For each adapter listed, right-click the name, and then choose Properties from the pop-up menu. If the Device Status section indicates that the SCSI adapter isn't working correctly, reinstall SCSI device drivers; contact the SCSI card manufacturer for further help. 22. Check for problems with RAM SIMMs or DIMMs. Ensure that the RAM SIMMs or DIMMs are installed properly and are not the cause by doing one or more of the following: -- Change the order of the installed SIMMs or DIMMs. -- Remove all but the minimum number of SIMMs or DIMMs needed to run Windows and Premiere Pro, and test to see if the problem persists. If it does, replace the SIMMs or DIMMs you removed and remove the others, testing again to see if the problem recurs. If it doesn't, one or more of the removed SIMMs or DIMMs are the cause. For assistance, contact the RAM SIMM or DIMM manufacturer. 23. Reformat the hard disk, and reinstall only Windows XP and Premiere Pro. Reformat the hard disk, and then install only Windows XP and Premiere Pro from the original installation media. Reformatting a disk erases all files it contains, so be sure to back up all personal files first. Also make sure that you have all application and system disks. Note: Don't install additional software or hardware until you're sure that the problem is resolved. Don't back up the hard disk and restore Windows and Premiere Pro instead of reinstalling them; if the problem is caused by an application or Windows, and either one is restored instead of reinstalled, the problem may recur. After you reformat the hard disk and reinstall Windows and Premiere Pro, try to re-create the problem: -- If the problem no longer occurs, install other applications one at a time and try to re-create the problem after each installation. If the problem occurs after an installation, the recently installed application may be the cause. -- If the problem occurs when only Windows and Premiere Pro are installed, the cause is hardware-related, and you should contact the hardware manufacturer or an authorized reseller for assistance
-------------------- Dinho - SOMANICO PAZ NA TERRA ou no site da Adobe 7:36pm Apr 14, 05 PST (#2 of 9) I understand Hollywood FX no longer supports Premiere Pro...however there is a workaround (at least it has worked for me, I have been using Hollywood FX PRO 5.1 in conjunction with Premiere Pro 1.5.1). 1. Copy "HfxEdt5.vfx" to your Premiere plugins directory and change VFX file extension to PRM. Make sure you only change the file extension, not the file name. The default location for "HfxEdt5.vfx" is C:\Program Files\Pinnacle\Hollywood FX 5\Host Plugins. Default PPro plugin folder is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere Pro 1.5\Plug-ins\en_US 2. Follow the steps above for "Fl_HfxEdt5". The file is found in C:\Program Files\Pinnacle\Hollywood FX 5\Host Plugins\EditionFilter. Hollywood FX should appear in your Video Transitions Bin. Good luck,
