Erro Display 16x02

Estou usando a biblioteca do MikroC para realizar teste no meu LCD.

O esquema:

Na protoboard , pro back o anodo é negativo e o catodo positivo.

O problema é que nao aparece quase nada no lcd.

Nota: Na linha 1 da pra ver bem fraco escrito biblioteca! e na 2 aparece uns quadrados o_0

Nao to usando Pot na porta 3 , ta indo direto pro GND.

e tambem n to usando oscilator.

Nao sei muito sobre pic mas acho que sem oscilador nao funciona...

fala que precisa dar um delay para inicializar o lcd '-'

Nao entendo muito de C então espere alguem que entenda te ajudar...

Mas veja se a montagem esta certa..

o pic 16f877a necessita um cristal p oscilar... é obrigatório. Já testando virtualmente tens q configurar o valor do cristal a ser usado, caso nao esteja erros aparecem ou nem funciona.

O PIC16F887 Tem oscillator interno. Usa o potenciometro no pino 3 e vê se melhora. Com ele você ajusta o contraste.
