Olá... ^^ Tenho um notebook da Dell há mais ou menos 2 anos, e recentemente o desempenho dele tem estado um pouco abaixo, o que fica nítido em por exemplo jogos (FPS extremamente baixo) ou até mesmo em funções normais como no Windows Explorer (Sério) ou um navegador. Não sou o maior entendedor de tecnologias ou coisas assim, porém ao abrir o gerenciador, uma coisa chamou minha atenção, o desempenho do processador:
O processador registra funcionar à 0.8 Ghz (Segue anexo tanto no Support Assist como no gerenciador de tarefas), quando deveria funcionar à 1,7 ou 2,4 (não entendi direito, tem os dois valores, pelo que entendi é como se o máximo máximo fosse de 2,4 alterando alguma coisa). Pesquisando sobre isso achei alguns posts sobre aquecimento, sobre o computador diminuir o "processamento" para não aquecer, mas a temperatura está normal. Sobre BIOS e Drivers, está tudo atualizado corretamente também. Achei algumas postagens que fizeram sentido sobre Overclock, seria isso mesmo? Tipo eu teria que mexer nisso ou é alguma outra coisa?

Bom, esta frequência variando para baixo vem desde o CoolN'Quiet dos Athlon 64. O sistema reduz a frequência do processador de acordo com a carga de trabalho.

 

Veja na imagem abaixo, meu cpu opera até 3.1, mas se deixar aberto sem fazer nada, ele chega a baixar até 0,9. Isto é pra não aquecer e economizar energia. 

 

Com relação à queda de desempenho sentida, quanto tempo faz que você não formata? O windows, infelizmente, é um excelente acumulador de lixo. Com o tempo, ele vai deixando o computador cansado, tanto na inicialização quanto na execução de programas. Tente desabilitar alguns serciços e programas na Configuração de Sistemas pra ver se melhora.

@Felinto Fiz os testes desse programa, não sei se isso muda em alguma coisa, mas deixei o task manager aberto durante o teste, e a velocidade não saiu do 0,79 GHz, o que alterou foi apenas a utilização que subiu um pouco em alguns momentos. Acho que seja normal, mas o pc ficou extremamente lento durante o teste, a ponto de demorar uma "eternidade" pra conseguir mexer a aba do task manager. Os resultados estão a seguir:

@Kleber Peters  Sobre a velocidade, mesmo com "processos mais complicados" ela não chega a aumentar, ficando estática à 0,79 GHz. E sobre formatar, se não conseguir fazer nada aqui, vou formatar ele pra ver se resolve

Isto é estranho. O normal seria aumentar o clock com aumento de demanda. Você não alterou alguma coisa na BIOS "travando" a frequência neste valor? Dê uma revisada lá.

@Kleber Peters Então, fui atrás de ver isso, e achei uma opção que quando habilitada, "mexia" no desempenho do processador de acordo com a demanda, e desabilitada deixava no máximo sempre. Por padrão, estava habilitada, tentei desabilitar mas ela continua a mesma coisa, fica travado nesses 0,79 GHz. Há alguma chance de o problema não ser necessariamente no processador, mas sim em alguma outra peça que afete esse desempenho? Como o Hd ou a Gpu, sei lá

Pouco provável, para não dizer impossível. São componentes que não interferem na frequência do processador.

@Kleber Peters Entendo... O que acha de eu tentar mexer no valor do clock pra ver se ele aumenta? Tipo como se fosse fazer um overclock mesmo (Não entendi muito do processo, mas pelo que li por aí, me pareceu uma solução)

Um leve update, achei um erro no meu Hd, o Support Assist da Dell localizou, mas mais nada. Diz apenas que falhou e dá um código de erro (Anexo) e, indo no site da Dell, pede pra eu comprar outro Hd '-' Tem alguma ideia do que pode ser isso ou se tem a ver?

A poucos dias senti uma enorme perda de desempenho no meu notebook, após uns 10 minutos de uso por volta, o processador trabalhava a 100% e tudo ficava travando.
No final de semana passado eu resolvi abrir ele e tive de cara a confirmação daquilo que suspeitava.

O dissipador de entrada de ar do cooler estava praticamente tampado de poeira e a pasta términa do processador estava totalmente seca, a perda do desempenho todinho foi causado por um super aquecimento.
Limpei o cooler e o dissipador, coloquei uma nova camada de pasta térmica, tanto no processador como no chipset e retornei a ligar.

O resultado foi:
A bateria passou a durar o dobro do tempo que estava durando.

Com diversas abas abertas no navegador, meu processador está trabalhando na faixa de 25% a 45%.

O notebook se mantém com a temperatura super baixa até mesmo enquanto jogo.
E a dor de cabeça do tempo de espera por resposta dos programas sumiu completamente.

Dê uma verificada nessa questão, pois acredite, um super aquecimento faz muita diferença no desempenho do computador e não é preciso trocar nada de hardware ou software, apenas a pasta térmica mesmo.

@Mickael A. Vasconcelos sobre a questão do super aquecimento, é uma hipótese. Mas aí o comportamento do seu processador seria o seguinte, quando ligasse o sistema ele chegaria a sua potência máxima mas depois de alguns minutos em operações ele começaria a baixar o clock. E também seria de esperar desligamentos repentinos. Não parece ser a questão do autor do post. 

 

Pedro, eu vejo aqui que o seu processador está tudo OK. Parece ser problema com o Sistema Operacional. Já tentou aumentar o números de CPU disponíveis no "msconfig" ? http://www.superdownloads.com.br/materias/6309-mito-2-boot-rápido-processadores-mutiplos-núcleos.htm

Vai ter que selecionar manualmente nas opções de energia mesmo em alto desempenho e setar o processador em modo bateria e conectado para 100% de uso em mínimo e máximo, configurar cada perfil para melhor desempenho, se for gpu nvidia, intel, amd, configurar no menu do driver para extrair máximo uso de energia visando desempenho, em cada placa de vídeo tem sua maneira de configurar.
