Galera , desculpem reviver este topico mais estou com uma duvida "abismal" sobre minha placa .....e não encontrei uma solução em nenhum outro local.

Comprei um micro positivo sim+ i730

Com as seguintes especificações no everest.

Proc: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7400 2,80GHZ

Memoria: 2x 2GB DDR2-800

Placa Mãe: Asus P5GC-MX/CKD/POST/SI

Clock Real: 267 MHZ(QRD)

Clock Efetivo: 1067 MHZ

Chipset: Intel Lakeport-G i945GC

Velocidades de FSB Suportadas: FSB553 e FSB800

Qtd Maxima: 2GB

Revisão / Stepping: 02/A2

Minha BIOS esta desatualizada.

Agora vamos as duvidas ...

Primeiramente li no site da asus que existem 2 modelos de P5GC-MX ...

A primeira não trabalharia com FSB de 1066 pois o chipset 945 não o suporta ....

E outra placa a 1333 dizendo que o chipset 945A2 promoveria esta façanha ...

Minha duvida é a seguinte, qual diabos de placa é esta minha p5gc ?

Pelo everest ... minha placa não suportaria mais de 2GB no entanto meu windows vista 64 reconhece 3,qq coisa de memoria....

O meu chipset pelo que consta no everest é rev 02 ?Então aceitaria os FSB maiores , não ?

Minha placa tem a opção de memory remap ? Para que o SO reconheça os 4gb dela ?

Pergunto isso , pois quero atualizar minha BIOS , mas não sei qual Bios baixar do site, por conta dessa zona de placas da ASUS.

POR FAVOR ME AJUDEM , estou sem dormir direito com essa duvida martelando minha cabeça .....

Comprei a mesma máquina...

Tenho a mesma dúvida, mas trago mais informações...

Nas duas especificações que você postou no link de compartivo asus falam de placas com SOM de 6 canais (Realtek ALC883, 6-CH Áudio de Alta Definição CODEC), porém, pelo menos na minha máquina, a saída é a comum, de 2 canais... Quantas saídas você tem atrás? Não seria penas a Verde (saida de som), Azul (entrada som não amplificada) e a Rosa (microfone)?????

Outra dúvida, porque ele tem 4GB mas mesmo assim no BOOT e na Vista64diz que tem (+/-) 3.4GB?????

como libero esses 600 MB de RAM?!?!?!?!?!?

Acoplei uma placa de vídeo externa (RADEON), é só desabilitar a ON BOARD???

Achei esse link que não ajuda muito... Pois só diz o que tem que fazer, mas não como...

***Apesar de todas as questões, estou satisfeito com a máquina, pois é bem rápida e ainda não travou comigo!!! (pra Windows isso é UTOPIA, mera questão de tempo)...

Pra liberar esses 600 MB , tem que ver se nossa placa tem a opção MEMORY REMAP na BIOS.

Isso assim que voce acoplar uma placa de rede, ja é pra desabilitar a VGA on board , pois essa opção vem setada como automatic na BIOS.

Tb coloquei uma placa off-board Gforce 9500 GT ...

Qual windows você esta usando ? estou usando o vista ultimate 64x e ele ta rodando 100% comigo ....

Não entendi, "Isso assim que voce acoplar uma placa de rede, ja é pra desabilitar a VGA on board , pois essa opção vem setada como automatic na BIOS"... Placa de REDE?

Me considero um user com bons conhecimentos... Mas não achei na bios a opção de desabilitar a video onboard ou o speedup...

Pricurando na net, só achei mais gente reclamando...

Usando Vista64 Ultimate...

E de diferente so a vidoe Radeon X1950 GT - com 2 monitores.

Quanto a memória que você viu no EVEREST que só cabia até 2 ou 3 GB DDR2, não é ainda a realidade do programa analisador, somente depois da atualização que pretente fazer, caberá até mais de 4 GB DDR2, depende de mais pesquisas, sacou?

Não vou me estender mais, acredito que já deixei um pouco claro, muita dúvida que lhe estava encucando, acho que agora você deve examinar a "capricho" o que pretende fazer mesmo e inicar a atualização da bios.

Antes de mais nada queria agradecer você barão , e dizer que após essa sua breve explicação meu sono está parecendo querer voltar (vou ate tomar uma skoll agora em plena 3:50 da manhã pra comemorar ....

Bom , junto com esse post mandei um email para asus , e o coitado do cara do atendimento, disse para eu ver o que esta gravado em minha placa-mãe .... se estivesse 1333 ela era uma p5gc-mx/1333 , esperto ele não ?

Confesso que ainda não olhei meu micro para ver ..... porém olhando bem , a minha FSB1066 e a 1333 pelo jeito não se diferenciariam em nada não ? talvez no nome gravado na placa como o Espertão da Asus me disse , né ?

Bom, do mais vou baixar a bios da criança , e socar a bota em uma atualização ... porém ... creio que essa placa não tenha o Memory Remap por ser o chipset 945 não ?

De qualquer forma mantenho a esperança , pois espero que o responsavel pelo projeto deste micro por parte da positivo ,não tenha montado um micro com 4gb, sendo que o chipset se limita a gerenciar 3 q qq coisa de gb....

Muito obrigado novamente barão ...... e se você estivesse em meu lugar, ia mandar brasa na atualização de BIOS ?

Vou ver como esta descrito certinho na bios essa opção da prioridade da rede (video , agora te peguei ne) depois posto aqui ... quanto ao remap vou esperar o barão responder meu post, e depois atualizar a BIOS pra ver se acho algo .....

Bom xixaloka, também não sou expert em informática, apenas curioso!

Realmente parceiro, sua placa não tem Memory Remap por ser chipset 945, mas de agora em diante tudo vai ser aventura:

1. Vai em executar, no msconfig e entra na aba "Inicialização do sistema", clica em opções avançadas do SO que estiver usando, vai em memória máxima, clica para ativar e digita lá 4096, dá ok em tudo e reinicia o sistema.

Já vi muitos casos com esse problema, pode ser que resolva, mas não é certeza;

2. Pelo que pesquisei, parece ser uma limitação do próprio chipset, não da placa mãe, se você entende um pouco inglês, veja o que diz o fabricante americano:

"Due to Intel 945G chipset, the maximum amount of memory supported is 4GB. So you will see around 3.xxGB depending on the devices used under OS (Operational System, no seu caso é o Win Vista). This is a chipset limitation.

For Intel chipsets like Intel 955X、Intel 975X and Intel P965/G965, they can support 8GB and memory remapping. Intel 945G only supports up 4GB max in specification and does not support Memory Remapping technology. That is the reason/limitation for 4GB support."

3. Busque dentro da BIOS qualquer coisa parecida com a opção "Memory Hole Remapping". Creio que essa placa mãe é incapaz de endereçar todos os 4 GB pro sistema operacional pois é impossível liberar os endereços reservados dela.

Para você não ficar quebrando mais a cabeça e esquetando as pestanas, atualiza bios e vê que bicho dá, futuramente compra outra motherboard e pronto, ok?

Atualmente eu uso da linha gigabyte, pelo menos aqui no Brasil tem muita informação em português e fica fácil de pesquisar.

Depois você toma sua skol e rlx.

Ai galera, olhei minha motherboard de perto , e ela não é uma 1333 mesmo , pelo menos não está escrito nada nela , então acredito tb se tratar de uma p5gc-mx(1066) ja que o clock do meu processador é 1066 , vou baxar a bios e atualizar pra ver o que da ... valeu !

Então , mas agora vi algo que me deixou com medo novamente ... em contato com o suporte da asus ,o pessoal me disse que a P5GC-MX SUPORTA fsb's de 1066 ? Vi no site da asus em cpu supported e consta processadores de 1066 como suportados pela p5GC-mx , mesmo sem ser a versão 1066 ...... os caras tão de sacanagem né ?

Vi tb, que a versão 0515 da bios é a mesma para a p5gc-mx e p5gc-mx1066.

parceiro, minha impressão, já que você manteve contato com eles, é que estão perdidos, não tem como explicar, fabricação em uma série e em evolução, essa linha de placa-mãe deveria até ser recolhida, fizeram confusão de cheapset, se você visitar outros foruns de outros clubes, o negócio tá pegando fogo, ninguem entende mais nada mesmo! a maioria sugere prá comprar uma placa nova, mas a sua placa support 1333, veja em inglês:

companheiro, pelo que lí, aconselho você visitar um tutorial daqui do Clube do Hardware para se aprofundar mais em memória ram, não vou entrar em maiores detalhes, pois existem muitos programas para liberar memória, e isso é "balela" basta pesquisar na google, mas acho melhor visitar o site abaixo e boa sorte, foi escrito pelo amigo Gabriel Torres, você deve se lembrar dos filmes de RAMBO, Rambo I, II, III e IV, pois o programinha que o Gabriel indica é o Rambooster... até o nome é engraçado!!!
