Estou com o mesmo problema na controladora de vídeo que começou após atualização do kernel 2.6.31. Estou aguardando pela solução e acredito que será resolvido logo pois tem muita reclamação nos forum de discussão.

Curiosamente o notebook da patroa que está rodando o ubuntu pelo wubi e tem uma placa ATI (que tanto falam mal dos drivers) já se atualizou e não teve nenhum problema.. :wacko:

anjoed se confundiu porque eu estava falando com ele ao mesmo tempo e sobre um problema de vídeo que temos com um RHE aqui no trampo. ^_^

Problema do vídeo que desconfigura a resolução: RHE na máquina do patrão.

Ubuntu com Wubi: não apresentou problemas. (que paradoxo..)

Algumas pessoas estão reclamando com problemas no som.

Sintoma:

Você está bem feliz, ouvindo som, de repente a desgraça pára e começa comer processamento.

Solução:

Primeiro, vamos matar o processo:

killall pulseaudio

Vamos pegar o modelo de sua "placa" de som ( se for onboard, é o chip que nos interessa ):$ cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#* | grep Codec

Codec: Realtek ALC883

Codec: Motorola Si3054Como podem ver, o meu é o Realtek ALC883. Logo, vamos editar o alsa-base.conf:

options snd-hda-intel model=ALC883

Caso isso não resolva, existe uma linha que "desliga" o som:

options snd-hda-intel power_save=10 power_save_controller=N

Comente-a inserindo um '#' no início da linha* .

*OBS.: No fórum do ubuntu, informam que é necessário inserir o usuário audio:

sudo adduser usuario audio

poderia fazer algo mais fácil... simplesmente digitar "alsamixer" no terminal e configurar o audio com as setas do teclado.

Rapaz, MUITO OBRIGADO !

Deu certo, o volume da caixa central estava em zero, assim como o do microfone, que eu ainda vou testar se corrigiu minha mudez no skype.

Agora o 5.1 funciona (ainda como 7.1), pra ficar perfeito eu poderia ter o mesmo controle de cada caixa como consigo no windows, mas isso é chatice minha.

Uma pena que ainda tem umas falhadinhas.. :(

Estou tentando deixar funcional o Ubuntu 9.10 mas para que consiga deixar funcional, necessito de acesso a internet com ele, e tenho grande dificuldade com isso, pois não sei tanto de linux quanto gostaria e também a minha é um tanto quanto confusa, tenho um conexão Wireless que consigo fazer funcionar mais a impressa que de quem eu tenho o serviço usa junto um tipo de conexão banda larga (Dial-up e VPN) que dai complica, pois não consigo refazela no Ubuntu, por toda essas coisa tinha colocado aquelas fotos para ilustrar essa cituaçõa.

Olá Amigos do Forum!

Então! Venho utilizando o Ubuntu em Dual Boot com Windows desde o 7.04, mas sempre em 2º opção. Na verdade eu nem usava direito. Era mais para dizer que Eu tinha Linux em dual boot e tal.

Agora com o 9.10 resolvi instalar ele em definitivo como meu SO principal, ainda mantenho o Windows (somente pelo vicio em Age of Empires! kkk).

Esta rodando perfeitamente! Eu necessito apenas de ferramentas do Office para trabalho, e nisso o OpenOffice me atende completamente.

Essa versão foi a mais fácil de configurar para rodar "redondo" aqui no PC. Não foi preciso usar nenhum comando de terminal para fazer tudo funcionar. :D

Isso funciona para quem já está com o driver funcionando.

Agora, se o som está falhando ou ausente, o procedimento que descrevi funciona.

Recomendo abrir um tópico sobre o assunto, descrevendo a configuração da sua máquina ( detalhado, com modelo ) e os erros que aparecem...

To desanimado com o ubuntu, depois de algumas atualizações ele não inicia a placa de rede junto com o sistema, acho que é algo assim, simplesmente o icone da placa de rede nao aparece mais e estou sem conexao banda larga no linux :mad:

É fácil dizer que está desanimado quando não se entende o que ocorre.

Recomendo seguir minha recomendação dada ao membro Sombra_Maretero.

anjoed, já abri um tópico pra tentar solucionar meu problema, e sim não entendo muito de linux , so um novatão =), spero que por pouco tempo, então dependendo do problema que ocorre é um pouco complicado de se arrumar.

Mas o Ubuntu está se demonstrando muito fácil de aprender a mexer pois reparei que a comunidade que auxiliam os novatos cresceu bem, alguns probleminhas que tive com arquivos *.rar por exemplo consegui solucionar tranquilamente.

No início foi igual, eu não sabia de nada do linux. Fui aprendendo futricando nos arquivos e simulando em meu pc. O mais importante para aprender como uma distro funciona, é ler e testar e ler. Só assim...

O ubuntu 9.10 vem com muitas melhorias. É só ter paciência em pesquisar sobre ele, principalmente procurando no ubuntuforum.org e vivaolinux.com.br, onde o linux é bem forte. ( infelizmente, aqui é bem fraco e só tem eu de moderador ( :D ) para dar um up na seção )

ai,ai,ai...

Isso é muito estranho. Estou tentando descobrir onde é o "gatilho" para disparar o modo gráfico do sistema e o uso do driver.

Fico imaginando que ao aplicar o novo kernel, ele deve "esquecer" que existe uma placa de video e,por isso, não compila o driver....

Vou mandar esse problema para Linux Magazine....
