Upgrade em pc velho e colocar duas fontes em um pc

Quero fazer um upgrade no meu pc. Uso Kali Linux e roda muito bem no meu pc, porém, ele não roda minecraft que é um jogo que eu gostaria muito de jogar enquanto converso no Discord. Gostaria de colocar um Intel Core 2 quad 2.4 Ghz 4 Núcleos e minha fonte é bem genérica e aguenta no máximo 235w se eu adicionar esse cpu faltarão 65w e estou pensado em adicionar outra fonte para suprir esses 65w e dar uma folga para a minha fonte. Seria recomendado usar outra fonte já que não tenho muito dinheiro? Minha placa-mãe suporta esse cpu?

Quase certeza, que "N/A" na versão da BIOS é "não compatível"

@wagner2029 Esse chipset da VIA pra 775 é bem fraquinho mesmo.

Bem, por um lado é bom que assim vai gastar menos com o PC, que é bem antigo já e realmente não valeria muito a pena rs, mas o seu Celeron vai ter dificuldades, mesmo com uma placa de vídeo básica.

 

Quanto pensa em gastar? Dependendo do valor daria pra fazer mais trocas e deixar o PC melhor como um todo, não só no Minecraft.

 

Sem essas informações extras, o máximo que recomendo agora é uma GT 710 e usar ao menos o mod Optifine que deve ajudar também. E só use essa fonte mesmo, se for trocar troque por outra, não precisa somar as fontes.
